About Me

Hi there! Welcome to NotJustAPigInAPoke.com!!

I’m Sharon with my precious Yorkshire Terrier.

Are you familiar with the expression “a pig in a poke”?

It’s an English colloquialism such as “it turned out to be a pig in a poke” or “I just bought a pig in a poke.” It means that something was sold or bought without the buyer knowing its true nature or value. A “poke” is a sack or a bag.

It’s basically a “buyer beware” type of expression.

So . . . being aware of scams . . . I’m telling you upfront this website is Not Just A Pig In A Poke. There is value here!!

Don’t take my word for it. Just visit my website from time to time and see for yourself. Or, you can go over to my Christmas Stampin’ Up!® website.

I’m an Independent Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator.

Stampin’ Up!® is celebrating its 30th year in business!! That’s no fly-by-night operation.

Click Here if you’d like me to be your demonstrator.

This same link is in the header of my website “Place An Order Online”. I believe this is the best way for you to purchase Stampin’ Up!® products. It is private and secure. Stampin’ Up!® takes your order and information. They process your payment. They fill your order. They send it directly to you.

I haven’t made any video tutorials . . . Something I may do in the future when I figure out the best way to make them. I think I may need to get another camera . . . or break down and get a smart phone.

I know video is the “thing”, but I’m of an older generation . . . and haven’t gotten into all the fancy gizmos.

I’m a blogger. I do love blogging as much as paper crafting.

It is excellent that the two do go together!

I also collect antiques. This has been an interest of mine for quite some time. It may be why I enjoy the “vintage” style of papercrafting as well . . . or perhaps it’s more “grunge” . . . whatever it is I love the look of old paper.

I do thank you for taking the time to read “about me” and hope you’ll visit this website from time to time . . . and please tell a friend or two.

Sharon
