Dena Rekow of The Creativity Cave made some white on white cards with a splash of spring color.

I thought it was a wonderful idea, especially since she used a couple of my favorite Stampin’ Up!® Bundles that are still available until May 31, 2018 or while supplies last.

And, since I had a couple of errands to run on my bicycle . . . and I’d stop for a cup of coffee . . . this worked out beautifully for me.

It is wonderful to get out in the fresh air early in the morning before there is too much traffic and the sun gets a bit warm.

Yet, Dena’s concept is quite lovely . . . using the ink pads and stamps or the Stampin’ Write Markers to color in the flowers.

A bit of a splash of color works out quite nicely . . . but I was thinking . . . Maybe more would be just too much. It is always important to know when to stop.

I did like the coffee cup, too . . .

Decorating the cup is an excellent touch . . .

Yes, I’m thinking of adding more . . . but less may be more . . .

Giving the splash of color is usually enough . . . allowing one to use their imagination . . .

I’m wondering how this concept would work with the Soda Bottles . . . I’m sure they could be decorated . . . and the straws and the soda could be at different levels of enjoyment . . .

This does inspire me to see what else would work . . . and to decide what type of cards to make . . . Birthday, Congratulations . . . Just A Note . . .

I would think the Colorful Seasons Bundle would be a natural for this as well . . .

It is always wonderful to see new ideas and allow your personal creativity to take over . . . I decided to work at my dining table this morning.

It allows me to spread out a bit more.

It brings me into the “heart” of my home. I know that may sound strange, but I sometimes feel cooped up in my craft room. I have to bring things out . . . and put them back . . . but there is something special about this space.

I believe we need to do our crafts where we are the most comfortable.

Here’s a handing shopping list with links you may find helpful for making some of these cards:

I am looking forward to the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog.

I have sorted through my “retired” stamps, dies, designer series paper, etc. but I am planning to make up some cards for family and friends using them. They seem like old friends!! And today seems like a great day to use them . . . and get a head start on the birthday and holiday cards I’m going to need.

Have a great day with your craft projects!

Thanks for stopping by!
